In Massachusetts, work collaboratively with MassDOT, MBTA Project Staff, and Public Relations & Legislative Affairs to ensure all information relating to the progress of the T’s Orange and Red line project is accurately disseminated to local officials and the public. As Spokesperson, represent CRRC on all media inquiries relating to the corporations $100m manufacturing facility located in Springfield, Massachusetts and growth of CRRC MA’s diverse unionized workforce.
In collaboration with Jacobs, LRC provides community relations support and strategies for the T’s bus facility modernization program.
Develop a Public Participation/Engagement Plan to educate, build support, and ultimately consensus of a mutual vision for each community housing a facility.
Work with team to share information with public while educating communities on the benefits and overall quality of life improvements the modernization program will bring to each community.
In collaboration with HNTB, underway with community engagement initiatives to ensure community participation in the transformation of the Mattapan High Speed line beginning with public meetings, surveys, one on one discussions with residents, and social media.
Supported the Commonwealth of Massachusetts initiatives to make communities safer, and reduce risks to the environment, economy, jobs, housing, and infrastructure.
LRC in partnership with Eastern Research Group (ERG), Consensus Building Institute (CBI), and Industrial Economics (IEC) supported the Massachusetts Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) 2022 Climate Change Assessment initiative. LRC assisted with coordination of a statewide community conversation on climate change and its impacts on Massachusetts. residents and their community.
LRC supported revisions to the State Mitigation and Climate Adaptation Plan (SHMCAP) gathering perspectives and input from community organizations for inclusion in the 2023 SHMCAP.
LRC understands the importance of public engagement and encouraging people to have a voice on issues that affect their quality of life. Specific to climate change impacts and risks on communities’, inclusion and casting a wider net to gain public feedback will help the state to better address hazards and prioritize impacts.
Part of the STV engineering team, provide public relations support relating to DCR project to convert more than 4,500 street and outdoor lights across the Commonwealth to energy efficient Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting and associated fixtures. Additionally, LRC worked collaboratively with DCR Community Relations and Legislative Staff to ensure project updates and milestones reached were shared with the public, local media, and state and municipal officials.
Coordinated community outreach efforts aimed to make improvements and adjustments to 15 of the MBTA system’s busiest bus routes, including upgrades to bus routes 23 & 39 in Dorchester and Jamaica Plain, respectively. LRC worked cooperatively with MBTA Construction staff and LM Heavy Project Managers to ensure up to date information on the progress of the project and impacts to businesses and residences was shared in a timely manner. From on-site meetings with abutters to the dissemination of press releases, public notices, emails, and a 24 hot line number, the affected communities as well as the City of Boston Transportation Dept. remained informed throughout the project.
