With decades of experience in public relations, including 14 years as the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s (MBTA) first Hispanic spokeswoman, Lydia Rivera brings expertise in community engagement, crisis management, and strategic communications.
Lydia's approach with clients is to understand their needs and goals through listening and active dialogue. Open communication and information sharing provides the foundation to then begin the process to develop and implement a sustainable plan whether to engage a community, diffuse a crisis, or promote a project.
In addition to working on various Massachusetts projects, Lydia provides public relations services (pro bono) to the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) and is a member of Women Transportation Seminar (WTS). Lydia is a member of St. Mary's Board of Trustees advocating for battered women and children; and produces a podcast – Building Boston & Beyond - showcasing projects underway in Massachusetts; and available services dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents.
